Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters are famous for their enormous white chalk cliffs. 100 million years ago, the chalk formed when the land was submerged by the sea.

The English Channel eventually formed after the chalk pushed up and the sea cut in, creating these beautiful cliffs

Frequently, huge slabs of chalk fall away like ice from a melting glacier due to the waves crashing below.
