First of all we had dog grooming salons then came clothing and other ridiculous pet merchandise, followed by even more ridiculous inventions such as an exclusive channel for dogs called DogTV. But this has to trump it all as the most extreme form of doggy behavior,... MatchPuppy, an exclusive dating website for dogs. Well, I guess it's more of a dog mating site but done in the style of a human dating site. Check it out below.

You can create a user profile for your dog in the same way as other dating websites and upload info such as age, gender, breed and other vital(?!) info such as energy levels and their favorite park. Owners can arrange play dates for their dogs in similar areas by searching for parks and perhaps get lucky with other owners at the same time. In fact, by using your dog, you might just meet the love of your life. Essentially you're killing two birds with one stone... playing the mating game for your dog and the dating game for yourself at the same time.

The idea was conceived by New Yorker Michael Chiang who claims he found it too time consuming to find a breeder for his Maltese dog, Louis.

Don't get too excited as the website is limited only to New York City at the moment but it might just take off. Stranger things have happened. Would you play the dog dating game?
