This short video 'A Life on Facebook' by French Director Maxime Luere is very simple but it's had thousands of hits and coverage. Why? Cos it tells Facebook like it is. It makes you realize how much Facebook has become an integral part of our lives and our virtual Facebook life has become just as important as our real life... and this is pre all that Facebook Timeline crap which tries to virtually map out our entire existence.
Admittedly the video makes you smile but the underlying message is actually kinda depressing.
It's scary how much of our lives are now shared with friends and even strangers on Facebook from our relationship status to our break ups to our every day thoughts, activities and embarrassing moments, depending on how you set your privacy settings. Coupled with Twitter and all the other social media channels out there, our lives are increasingly being played out via our computer screens.
Now here are some Facebook stats to digest (bear in mind this video was put together over a year ago so the figures have probably doubled since it was made):
wow! cool video, but yea i agree....the amount that we think we "need" facebook is ridiculous. get out there and live and dont worry about posting it on the internet!

it's sad the second video.. all about statistics and numbers!!!
