Stop motion and time lapse are different techniques for creating motion ilusion, out of pictures, (stop motion deals with "playing toghether" several different pictures and time lapse consists of one single shot with a video camera, from one angle during a long period of time) but often, both lead to similar results. Here's how Alex Profit came up with his version of "around the world in eighty days".













Alex travels through Paris, Barcelona, Berlin, St. Petersburg, Shanghai, Tokyo, New York and London. He plays with day light and has a particualr way of framing, which deals with man's natural vision. Images seek impossible transitions between them, some natural (water from a source, skies) and others car doors, or published as shirts or posters containing the first picture of next destination. Special mention to the music which helps to build up the beauty within this film.
