Last week my good old friend from elementary school got married. It was completely out of control. When you're invited to a wedding from someone you don't really know, it's ok, but when not only the groom, but the bride are also you old time friends, you party hard!!! My head is still a bit dizzy. Anyways, I was shocked by the wedding cake's magnificence, it was a 5 floor cake, with all the latest and hippiest and fanciest decorative details. So I decided to do a little research and found out that there's a whole universe of wedding cakes out there ready to explore. Pastry Chef's imagination has no limits!!!

Few things are more important on a wedding day (apart from both partners turning up; the ring being secure; and nobody objecting during the ceremony) than the cake. Very few weddings are without such a centrepiece. It's just a shame that so many couples opt for the same traditional, boring designs when there is so much opportunity to impress and surprise the guests.
