I'm not going to bore you all with my ravings about the recent S/S 2012 Fashion Weeks in detail but I would like to draw your attention to one designer's collection. Mr Gareth Pugh, presented at Paris Fashion Week. For me, the British-born designer's collection was a stroke of dramatic and creative genius.

While his collections are typically quite dark, this one was a little bit more upbeat and edgy. The designer set the mood with a dramatic short film with model Crystal Renn and then the models filed out in perfectly sculptured, futuristic sci-fi inspired ensembles. As you can see from the pics, the collection was built around stripes and grids giving it an architectural, geometric feel. The monochrome black and white pieces featured square necklines, eye-catching raised collars, and slinky dresses.

Granted the cage dresses won't be snapped up on the commercial high street but they certainly packed a punch on the runway and I can see myself in a pair of those ankle length cage style boots or one of those striped dresses.

I also really like the white eye make up. I can't work out whether they're eye brows or fake eyelashes?
