Juan Manuel Fangio (Balcarce, June 24, 1911 - Buenos Aires, July 17, 1995) was an Argentine motorist, five times champion of Formula 1.2
From childhood he abandoned his studies to pursue automotive mechanics, and in 1936 took on board a Ford, in an unofficial race Marcos Juarez. For 1938 and ran in Turismo Carretera, competing with Oscar Galvez. Nicknamed The Master, in 1940 won the International Grand Prix and was crowned North Argentinian Turismo Carretera champion, a title he would receive the following year.
