Larry Fine was born on October 5, 1902, on the south side of Philadelphia, under the name Louis Feinberg, son of Joseph and Fanny Feinberg Lieberman. Larry was the first of four boys. Small and showed a talent for art. Due to an accident in the arm, the doctor recommended to his parents bought him a violin as therapy, which he learned to play very quickly. Already past their teens, and devoted entirely to music, working on several sides, in 1921, Larry gets a job in a sextet, playing, dancing and telling jokes in Yiddish. The group was Mabel Harvey, who later became his wife. Mabel, with her sister Loretta, Larry would do with the act "Haney Sisters and Fine" Offstage Larry liked to hang out and surrounded by friends. They say that many of them were with him to get the money. Its strong, was also frequent in the horse races and bet large sums of money. Larry's personality on the screen was almost a reflection of real life, so their characters were not forced. Another feature was its tardiness, rarely came to film for some time or other commitments. Born October 22, 1903, as Jerome Lester, Curly was the youngest of the brothers Horwitz. As a child was very quiet, without giving too much trouble to their parents.
