I came across this today and thought I would share it with you as I found it quite shocking. The following are images of a two-year-old baby girl from China named Fan Sijia who weighs 45kg! Two years old and 45 kg. That is a lot of weight for a two year old to carry around. She was born in 2008 and, according to her family, since her birth her weight increased at an alarming rate despite trying everything to make her lose weight. It's really sad to see. She's just a baby and can barely walk. There's no information as to whether it was a case of genetics or poor diet and I don't know whether she's still alive today.
What's even sadder is that, while this may be a rare case of obesity probably caused by genetics, there are thousands of other kids in the world that are almost as obese as this due to poor diet and too much junk food. BUT they have a choice about it (or at least their parents do). These images should make you think twice about what you feed your kids. It's up to parents to educate and guide their kids in what they eat.

wow, that is incredible. she also looks like she is very tall for her age, obviously she is overweight as well, but i'm sure that adds to her weight. i wonder how it is even possible for a child this young to be this overweight??
