My grandfather recently passed away. He was 92 years old and lived a long fruitful life. For the last 8 years he had been in an odd mental state. He was physically alive but his mind seemed elsewhere at times. There were certain things that seemed to bring him back to the present, while other memories in his head would take him to previous moments in his life. Something as simple as a number or a dollar bill could bring him back to a time when he was doing business or with his family.
The video below shows how certain things, whether they be music, art, money, or any simple object, really, can bring back the human mind.
Henry, the main subject in the film, is played music from his lifetime that creates a wonderful effect. It brings him back to life. Music is a great tool for bringing back memories and making people remember great moments in life.
Watch the video to see how he dances, sings, and comes to life with just a little music.

this is amazing. my grandmother also had problems with dimensia and memory. it's wonderful to see that the people working in this nursing home really take the time with each person to make their experience better.

Holy s... amazing. Prove of what music can really do.
i really liked hearing people's memories about their families. also, never doubt the power of music baby!
Impressive! When the reporter asked him about his favorite Cab Calloway's song and he started to sing, it was like he was transporting himself to other time, when he was young. Very nostalgic.
