I play woman's soccer (football) and have since I was 13. I was upset sad to hear about the way woman's soccer is regarded in Argentina when it's the home of Diego Maradona and Lionel Messi. It's really a shame but maybe when it becomes more popular it will start to get better attention! Please check out this news story and tell me what you think...

It would be cool if women had the opportunity to enjoy soccer in their local communities and especially once they reach highschool. It would open up so many more opportunities for women, especially those who love sports and may not feel so connected to dance and the arts or any other activities that are generally associated with females. I know from experience that soccer makes me feel really healthy and strong and gives me a sense of community so I would only wish that everyone had the opportunity to do it.

There are a lot of females around the world who love soccer just as much as men, there is no reason why in 2012 they can't be taken seriously.
