The "Central Banco" will take the streets starting tomorrow a "new $ 2 coin, commemorating the bicentennial of the May Revolution, which will integrate the current money in circulation in the country, with a first set of 100 million units.

As reported by the monetary authority, these currencies will coexist with the tickets of equal value and will serve as payment for all transactions daily.

Contrary to the current $ 1 coin, in this new piece at the heart of the coin is silver and the ring is gold with a diameter of 24.5 millimeters.

In terms of design, at the center of the obverse presents the Argentine Bicentennial visual identity created for the commemoration by the Office of the President, with the inclusion in the center of the sun.

In the ring, meanwhile, reads in the upper arch reading "Argentina" and in the lower arch,



"In Union and Liberty."

The reverse of the coin features the core face value, "2 pesos", framed with the visual identity of Argentine Bicentennial.

In the lower arch ring shows the year of commemoration, "2010", and the perimeter is complete with laurels and pearl.

Also, the song of the new currency of 2 pesos consists of four sections and four slotted smooth, alternating with each other to facilitate touch recognition by the visually impaired.
