Hi everyone, I think this is the first time I make a post like this one.

These are my choices for the best tracks that were released last year in a Top 20 list. I'd like to say these are my personal choices and we all have our own opinions and tastes when it comes to music.

I've also noted some of you like to save music posts to have it as a playlist so that's great too.

Let's begin.

20. The Wombats - Techno Fan

This is from the second album of this English band. That record (This Modern Glitch) is not as great as the first one but this song is definately one of (if not) the best on this album.

19. The Horrors - Still Life

I don't remember how I got to hear this song/band but it has an unusual sound (at least for me) and i like it.

18. The Antlers - Corsicana

A good indie band with melodic/sad tunes in their latest album where Corsicana stands out.

17. The Killers - Ultraviolet

A U2 cover by a band that once was my favorite one.

16. The Vaccines - Norgaard

With a fresh rock shound, this is one of the songs that make this band good.

15. Memoryhouse - To the Lighthouse

Great song by this amazing indie band. This song was the last track in their EP The Years.

14. Coma Cinema - Tour All Winter

The closing track of this band's latest album. A really great song, too bad i discovered it late in 2011 when it actually came out in January of that year.

13. The Strokes - Under Cover of Darkness

One of the good tunes extracted from Strokes' Angles. Along with "Taken for a Fool", I think are the best tracks in that record.

12. Miles Kane - Colour of the Trap

Off the debut album by the ex-Rascals Miles Kane. This one and other songs in the album were written with the help of his longtime friend Alex Turner.

11. Alex Turner - Piledriver Waltz

Great song in Alex Turner's solo debut in this album (Submarine) which is the soundtrack of the movie by the same name directed by Richard Ayoade (The IT Crowd / Music Videos director). A new version was recorded for his band's fourth album (Arctic Monkeys).

10. Dirty Gold - The Quiet Life

Another great indie band I don't know much about (recently found it) but it has a nice sound. Try with this one, they have only released an EP with 4 songs.

9. The Vaccines - If You Wanna

One of the best songs in this English band debut album. This is the performance of the song in the David Letterman show.

8. Noah and the Whale - L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N.

A track for the folk-sound lovers, i don't consider myself one but I really like the sound of this band and this song too.

7. Wu Lyf - We Bros

Nice band I found in mid-2011 and thank god I remembered them when i made this list. Their songs are really unique, this one being my favorite, with a sound I can't describe well (psychodelic rock maybe?) but i like it.

6. Beach House - Zebra

Aww, Beach House. The great indie dreampop band that caught my attention with this song in particular. From their third album Teen Dream.

5. Arctic Monkeys - That's Where You're Wrong

The closing track of Suck It and See (2011). IMO the best one off the record, too bad the studio version has been blocked by Youtube so i had to put this one.

4. Fleet Foxes - Helplessness Blues

Folk band. If you get the chance to listen to more of the songs in this record do it! Helplessness Blues is a really great song with a folk sound you (if you have ears) will love.

3. Memoryhouse - Heirloom

Amazing song. Amazing band. From their early EP, a newer version has been released in the band's debut album this year. The music video features the beautiful model Tina Aumont who died in 2006.

2. Foster the People - Pumped Up Kicks

In a few words, the song that made this band kind of popular, despite that I think is a really great song (like the rest on the album).

1. Coma Cinema - Her Sinking Sun

I found it difficult at first between the first 5 spots, but this song ... maybe it's just me that there is something in this song that just sounds damn well (which it didn't happen at first).

It's like an user on YT said:

I'm not completely sold one way or the other. At first it didn't really do anything for me, but as the singing died away and the minimalistic and yet haunting tune continued, I felt something...
