Last month, the Vimeo Festival + Awards gave out $5,000 grants, as well as a $25,000 Grand Prize, to winners in 13 categories. Now Sundance Channel, which was pleased to be the first-ever Broadcast Sponsor of the awards, is getting ready to air some of the best — here are some of the winners!

Sigur Rós Valtari Mystery Films

Sigur Rós gave a dozen filmmakers a small budget and carte blanche to create videos for their upcoming album "valtari." Ramin Bahrani's rendition of "Ég anda" features soulful animals interspersed with some decidedly human-made structures and it's just as affecting as you might expect. Julia Pott

Julia Pott's new film "Belly" transports us back to those hazy childhood days at the beach. Below the sea, everything is unquestionably surreal — characters slide through flesh to reveal guts, bones, and the insides of their eyes.
