India is one of the most beautiful countries I've ever been to. I was there for three weeks about 11 years ago and it was one of the most interesting, eye opening and challenging experiences of my life. The culture, sites, landscape and food were all amazing. Especially the food. I have never tasted anything so flavorful.

I came across this series of photographs of India today that brought it all flooding back. Just observing the street life was another one of the most fascinating things and these photos really capture moments in time of the daily life, be it an elephant in the middle of the road, monkey tricks or a train overloaded with people.

I'd like to share with you my own photos too but I was in India at a time when digitial cameras were a new thing and I just had the plain old manual film roll camera so I only have the printed copies
