It's funny to think that we now live in the era where robots exist and they're used in daily life. Well, to be honest, I don't really come into direct contact with robots in my daily life but school kids in South Korea do. The Korea Institute of Science and Technology has been using robots to teach English to students for the last year. These "EngKey" robotic teachers are essentially fancy telepresence platforms but I don't really understand how a robot can teach English better than a real person. There would be no real interaction.

Well if you've ever wondered what these robots get up to when they're not teaching English, then I can tell you. They dance the tango. If you've always wanted to see giant dancing egg shaped robots dance the tango then this is for you:

How do you program a robot to dance the tango? They appear to spin and twirl in time to the beat better than I ever could (-:

While we are on the topic of dancing robots, I reckon these robots dance even better:

You could be mistaken for thinking that there are real people inside these robots until you look more closely at the footage and realise that these robots are in fact half the size of the people watching. They're cute!
