It's not nice to mock the newly deceased but sadly I don't think there are many people out there mourning the death of North Korea's leader Kim Jong-il. Even though he was nicknamed the “Dear Leader” by his people, Kim Jong-il was one of the most ruthless Communist leaders of our time who kept his country starved and deprived of freedom. He banished citizens who he deemed disloyal and assassined defectors, among other crimes.

He also remained unbelievably elusive throughout his entire 17 years of rule. No-one knows the exact place or date of birth or other details of his background. Not to mention his somewhat bizarre appearance with his bouffant hair, chunky shoes and oversized sunglasses. He rarely saw the outside world apart from his occasional public appearances, some of which have been photographed and recorded in this comical blog, "Kim Jong-il Looking at Things."

According to the tongue in cheek blog: "the dear leader liked to look at things. updated every other day and sometimes on the weekends too." Not sure what possessed whoever made this to make it but it's quite funny. Kim Jong-Il has the same somber expression in every photo.
