This post talk about the pokemons and their history

According to ancient Sinnoh legend, the Pokémon world as we know it today was created by Arceus, the Original One. It then made Dialga, who became the controller of time; and Palkia, the ruler of space. Then Arceus created Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf, who made knowledge, emotion and willpower. Arceus may have also made Giratina, who disappeared into another dimension.

Then, on a primitive Earth, three more Pokémon were born. Ancient stories from the Hoenn region tell of how Groudon was formed from magma deep below the earth's crust, Kyogre was formed by the pressure deep under the sea, and Rayquaza was formed from the minerals in the ozone layer. Groudon shaped the continents, and Kyogre expanded the sea. However, when the two Pokémon met face-to-face, they quickly became fierce rivals, and a cataclysmic battle was fought. Rayquaza flew down to quell them, and they both retreated to secret caves in Hoenn and fell asleep. Rayquaza made the Red Orb and the Blue Orb, to stop the two Pokémon from waking up again. However, they were recently reawaked by Team Magma and Team Aqua.

Other legendary Pokémon took over Groudon and Kyogre's job of making the Earth. Regigigas moved huge landmasses, forming the continents, and Heatran was formed deep in a volcano which is now known as Stark Mountain. Arceus created the Lustrous Orb, the Adamant Orb and the Platinum Orb, before falling into a never-ending sleep.

It is unclear how all the other Pokémon came into being, but some people believe that they descended from the legendary Mew, who contains the DNA of all Pokémon.

New Pokémon slowly evolved and thrived in the world which their ancient ancestors created. Aerodactyl took to the skies; Omanyte, Kabuto and several other shellfish-like Pokémon lived in the sea; and Cranidos and Shieldon lived in the jungle areas. These Pokémon eventually became extinct and gave way to other species, but their fossils have been found all across the world and scientists have been able to resurrect them using modern technology.

Then, a few million years later, first humans appeared. They may have worked together with wild Pokémon as friends. They also created three Legendary Pokémon, Regirock, Registeel and Regice, from natural materials.

These three Pokémon, along with their leader, Regigigas (who came into being millions of years before) turned out to be extremely powerful and dangerous, so humans sealed them away in tombs.

Around this time, several other familiar Pokémon species appeared. Magikarp, which were once very strong, mutated to become weaker. Sadly, Farfetch'd were overhunted by man, and became very rare. The Mamoswine population also decreased dramatically after the Ice Age.

During more recent years the Pokémon World changed drastically. Many buildings, such as the Brass Tower and the Tin Tower were constructed in the Johto region, in what is now Ecruteak City. Sadly, the Brass Tower burnt down, and is known to this day as the Burned Tower. Old Ecruteak stories state that Lugia once perched at the top of the Brass Tower, and Ho-oh perched on the Tin Tower. When the Brass Tower burnt down, three Pokémon were killed inside. Ho-oh revived them, and they became the Legendary Beasts: Raikou, Entei and Suicune. With no tower to perch on, it is said that Lugia fled to the Whirl Islands. However, there have also been reported sightings of Lugia in the Whirl Islands and the Sevii Islands.

Several other events accross the World resulted in several other Pokémon recieving near-legendary status. In Sinnoh, Spiritomb was sealed away in the Hallowed Tower. It was recently released by accident, but it was defeated by a trainer named Ash Ketchum. Slowpoke is worshipped in Azalea Town after it ended a drought by yawning and many stories are told by fisherman of the fearsome Gyarados, the evolved form of the once-great Magikarp.

Around this time, Poké Balls were invented. The first Poké Balls were grey in colour and were opened by screwing a button on the top. Some people made them out of fruits called Apricorns. Since they were first created, many different varieties of Poké Ball have been developed, including the Great Ball, the Ultra Ball, and the legendary Master Ball, which captures a Pokémon without fail.
Following the invention of the Poké Ball, the first Pokémon League tournaments took place. Pokémon Trainers begun travelling across the land, capturing wild Pokémon and battling Gym Leaders.

About ten years ago, Dr. Fuji, a Team Rocket scientist, began a massive project: to create the first ever artificially created Pokémon. Using the DNA of Mew, the anscestor of all Pokémon, he made Mewtwo, a super-clone. However, Mewtwo turned out to be stonger than he thought and destoyed the laboratory. Giovanni, the leader of Team Rocket, convinced Mewtwo that he could help him, but when Mewtwo realised Giovanni was just exploiting him, he fled back to New Island, and rebuilt the laboratory he destroyed. Having been raised by Team Rocket, he was a savage Pokémon that cloned Trainers' Pokémon and made them fight against the originals. Mew appeared and made Mewtwo see the error of his ways, and he and his fellow clones travelled to Mount Quena in Johto. Giovanni managed to track him down and tried to recapture him, but, thanks to Ash and his friends, his plan was foiled. Mewtwo erased Team Rocket's memory of him, so he could spend the rest of his life in peace.
