Kevin Hart burst onto the scene in 2003 in his first lead role as in actor in the hit comedy "Soul Plane" featuring him as the film's main protagonist Nashawn Wade, owner and operator of N.W.A. Airlines.
However its his stand up act which has people today rolling on the floor with laughter:
quote:
Undaunted by his chances of being accepted on the "tough" comedy circuit, Kevin debuted on amateur night at a Philadelphia comedy club. The audience welcomed him into their hearts and Hart was hooked. Kevin quit his job as a shoe salesman for an athletic shoe store chain and began chasing his dream of becoming a star. Comedy swims through his bloodstream right along side red and white cells.
His first popular stand up tour came in 2009 appearing on BET and Comedy Central, generating a slew of media attention for Kevin and his fresh comedic attitude.
quote:
"He electrifies the audience with a clever, animated style of comedy that cannot be duplicated and brings his audience to tears in this stand-up performance. He's hilarious as he pokes fun at everybody, but he's funniest when he's the brunt of the jokes! Fans who know him as the congenial host of BET's "Comic View: One Mic Stand" or from his outrageous characters in Soul Plane, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Scary Movie 3 and 4 and Super Hero Movie will want to see Kevin Hart at his wisecracking best." -amazon.com
The "Laugh at My Pain" 90-city tour proved to be the most successful comedy concerts in history with over $15,000,000 in ticket sales allowing Kevin to produce a film version of the mega hit, "Laugh at My Pain," which was released in theaters on September 9, 2011.
I myself cant wait to see what Kevin has coming next...
