Aviary Phoenix it's a Flash online image edit tool which offers tons of features so as to be one of the best tools around.

Inteligent Multi-layer fusion concept, shades, blurry effects, gradients, tons of filters and many different brushes to choose form. The tool palet is utterly complete. Has a History feature in case you need to Ctrl + Z (undo) anything. this site allows us to import images from many sites.

This is not Photoshop, or Gimp, but Aviary Phoenix fits your needs and you can try it using any browser

This is a FREE online picture editor which features more than 1000 special effects.
A very complete flash developed application, that allows you to use images directly from Flickr or from your PC.

It also allows us to share the final work by mail, and online editing of embebed images on our blog




FotoFlexer:




FotoFlexer is another flash developed tool that provides with a series of functions to upgrade images. It integrates with Flickr, MySpace, Picassa and Facebook to import/export images.
Best way to use this site is to create an account.







LunaPic:




Lunapic animator is an online editing tool for digital photos. Rotation, resizeing, cromatic improvements, addition of filters, etc. are some of it's features.

Best thing about this site is that you can generate a image sequence: animated graphics!

Easy to use, worth trying it out. Personally I rather have my software installed, but If the computer I'm working on doesn't count with it, this site will be very helpfull.







Phixr:




Phixr is a service that allows us to upload photos to digital images hosting services, in a very easy way and allows us to modify these photos with an online editor that presents several interesting features.

This service provides a temporary place to upload a digital image editor to modify it to add some effect and when we finished, we can send it to any of the photo hosting services to which we are registered.

The image hosting services supported are: Flickr, fotopic, livejournal, photobucket, fotolog.com, buzznet, Smugmug, Facebook, Picassa and dropshots






Picnik:




Picnik is another online picture editor, built with Flash, with many more features than the ones already reviewed here.

Apart from basic features to crop, resize, rotate, etc. Picnik counts with others, such as red eye reduction, underexposed photo fix or apply a series of filters (artistic or fun).

Another advantage over Pixoh is that you can open directly from sites like Flickr images through an internal search, just type the tag for which to search and double click the image you want to open.






Splashup:



Splashup is a powerful image editor that runs on any browser that supports Flash and has an very well made interface that provides: comfort, familiarity and functionality that makes this is almost on par with their peers desktop.

I find this, an excellent editor that lets you upload photos from your PC or from services like Flickr, is very complete, allows the use of layers, has filters and some other tools.

When you have the Gimp or Photoshop, this will be as comfortable as you can use without installing any software.




Picture2Life:



Picture2Life is an online image editor, that in order to use their services we have to register, they must enter a valid email address because it requires account activation.

We can upload an image from our team, or specify a URL to be exported directly. Among the actions that we can find, grayscale, blur, sphere, rotate, invert colors, etc..

After you finish editing the image, you can upload from the same interface to Flickr or ImageShack with a single click.




Wiredness:



Wiredness can upload photos or graphics up to 5 Mb, from your hard drive or from a url of the web, including your Flickr photos or any photo hosting site like Photobucket.

It's not Photoshop, but bringing almost all the basic tools that one uses to process a photo: Crop, resize, brightness, contrast, red eye remover, rotator, colorize and several others.

Among other things that makes this site stand as one of the best online editors are the special effects, including effects such as Polaroid or watercolors.

 



Photomajig:



Photomajig is an application that lets you crop, rotate and resize images exporting the result in jpeg or png.

They plan to add some new features such as: changing scale up automatically in imageshack or save the exif of jpeg images.

One of the options that I liked the most from Design Utilities category.




Snipshot:



Snipshot is an online service where you can edit images obtained from our PC image or web address where this is located. We can crop, resize, adjust brightness and contrast or saturacón, rotate, among some other options.

Not only we can edit the image, we can save it on our PC (.gif, .jpg, .png, .tif, .psd or even .PDF). It also gives us the option to send it to our Flickr or Webshots account.

The novelty is that now you have a Firefox extension created by the authors of Snipshot that integrates Firefox.






Pixenate:



Pixenate is a webapp that, although it doesn't bring any kind of sophistication, it is quite useful for quickly editing photos.

you get to work directly fom the browser, without installing anything, it works great if, for example, we travel and we need to get our photos to Flickr, and even before uploading them we can rotate some of them, remove red eye to others, or cut a little.





Cellsea:



It is an online tool for basic image editing provided by the people of Cellsea, a site that has several interesting tools online. This online image editor allows tasks among which are:

-Effects of distortion and various effects

The tool has a very simple and light interface, doesn't count with any overload and delay tasks. On top of the screen we have the menu, some of them inlcude dropdown lists,

Photoshop.com offers 2 gigabytes of free storage and importing photos from your flickr account or from your computer.

Once you've loaded your pictures you can share them with other users on photoshop.com. The site requires registration and need to select "Country" United States because there is no other available.

Dumpr effects include, Jigsaw, the Rubik's Cube, Photo to Sketch -phto will look like drawn by artist- Peeling Paint, Weave -will transform your images as a fabric look-a-like - and a few others.

In Dumpr can upload your photos from services like Flickr or from your own hard drive, so you will not be tied only to Web services.

Drpic is a free online image editor that lets you add effects and edit images very easily and without registration.
