Building a Hackintosh PC

Welcome to my first post! Here, I'll show you how to build a Hackintosh PC buying all components by separated and building.

Note: I show you part per part and I explain like a tutorial.

As you can see, if you don't have enough money to buy a techonological apple computer, you have a choice, build a Hackintosh PC!

A modern apple computer price is: 10.000$ USD approximate.

A Hackintosh PC price is: 1.500$ USD approximate.

So, I guess you would like to get the better choice. If is it,

Let's get started!

Here is the computer functional at 100%, I'll show you step by step the building progress.

Well, those are all the components for build the Hackintosh PC.

Intel Core i7 inside Processor i7/930 2,8Ghz. [289.99$ USD]

Mother board X58A-UD3R Sata 3.0 GIGABYTE Ultra Durable. [209.99$ USD]

RAM memory CORSAIR DOMINATOR DDR3 6GB. 3 modules 2GB per module. [149.99$ USD]

Power supply CORSAIR Hx 750WH [129.99$ USD]

CPU Cooler Hyper 212 Plus with thermal paste [47.95$ USD]

Well, this was the PC finished! So, let's build right now!

Empty case

Our first step is build Cooler Master and connect at the mother board to equilibrate the cooling. Later connect our processor at the mother board socket.

Those parts should be covered by the thermal paste.

To make this procedure, we need an antistatic bracelet or you can damage the components.

Finally, we finished the mother board and is time to introduce into the case.

This is our mother board finished.

Is recommended use a case with coolers and some ventilation fans. Those components produces a lot of heat.

Remember, never put your hands above the mother board and without an antistatic bracelet. You can damage some component by a short circuit.

Now is time to install the RAM, graphics and the power supply.

Two Hard Disk finished.

Well, is time to turn on our Hackintosh by first time!

And is Done!

Well, our computer is totally finished! Now, is time to configure our Bios and install the Operating Systems!

Mac OS X Snow Leopard

Windows 7 64 bits

And finally, we've our super hackintosh finished and ready to use!

Note: AMD processors doesn't accept apple operating systems and Nvidia graphic cards does accept apple operating systems copies only.

Well, this was the building computer step. So the next step is the installing O.S process.

Hackintosh Mac pro installing guide

What Software is needed

iBoot [New iBoot 2.7.0] download and burn it!

OS X 10.6 or 10.6.3 Retail DVD

Relevant DSDT for the Bios revision

Then

Burn the iBoot ISO to CD

Copy your DSDT file, the OSX Combo Update and Multibeast to a FAT/FAT32/HFS USB Key

If you're doing a fresh install

Boot using iBoot [Burned on DVD]

Install OS X

Reboot using iBoot

Remove the iBoot disk

Copy your downloaded DSDT file to your desktop [Not need to rename anymore]

Launch Multibeast but DON'T LET THE INSTALLER RUN!

Launch and install Mac OS X v10.6 Update [Combo, but don't click restart when it completes]

Run Multibeast with the following options

Once you're happy with all that then, its time to chekc 64 bit OSX. Re-run Multibeast and only select: - Customization -> Boot option -> 64 bit Apple Boot Screen.

Reboot

Enjoy using you Hackintosh in 64 bit mode with full graphics QE/CI and all the 10.000$ that you has saved!

Well, this is the end. I hope you enjoy building a Hackintosh yourself!

Coming soon, I'll post many interesting things about computers!
