Hi guys! how are you?? After a long time here I am again Well, how many of you like sushi and eat it all the time that you can? Well here I teach you the easy way to make sushi in your home fast and easy! Here we go!
Ingredients (for 2 rolls)
• 1 Cup of cheap rice or sushi rice. • 2 Sheets of nori • 150cc (5.oz) of rice vinegar if you don't have rice vinegar you can make this preparation: •150cc (5 oz) of white wine vinegar + 1 spoonful of sugar + 2 teaspoons of salt
Ingredients for the stuffing
• 1 tin of tuna • 1 tin of hearts of palm • 4/5 Green Beans cooked • 1 Carrots
You must open the cold tap and put your hand in the water (like the image) and wash the rice for 5 or 6 times until the water become clear. This is important beacause if you open the tap and you don't put your hand, the water might break some rices and this make the rice starch release while you cook it.
Put the rice in the saucepan and add 1 1/2 cup of cold water, cook it for 10 minutes in maximum fire and after cover the saucepan and cook it for 10 minutes in minimum fire.
Now if you dont have rice vinager (mirin) you must make this: Put in a small saucepan the white wine vinager and the sugar and the salt in minimum fire until the sugar dissapears.
When the time of cooking is ended you will see the rice without water, that's what we need
Now this is important, put the rice in a platter and scatter it with a wooden spatula (or teflon spatula) now when the rice is well scattered put the vinager (it must be cold ok?) in all the rice.
Now the most laborious step, with something like a plank, you must cool the rice until it is totally cold.
You must cover all the wicker with film paper. And put 1 sheet of nori.
Put water in a bol and put your hands.
Catch a bit of cooked rice and you need to put it in up a sheet of nori trying to cover all of it.
Now you must put the stuffing (the stuffing is what you want, for example you can use kani kama, tuna, salmon, prawns, etc.) In my case I have used fried carrots, green beans, hearts of palms and tuna.
Roll the wicker and do the maki sushi . When you finish it you must put it in the freezer for 10 minutes more or less, yes or yes. Look in the step 10 there is a bit of sheet of nori that dont have rice! this part is where you must put water to close the roll when you are rolling it!
With a wet sharp knife cut the sushi in cylinders from 3 cm more or less.
Put the sushi in a plate and with a bit of soy sauce you can eat it !
