- Thanks to the @Socialphy team and all you guys for the support, I'll be posting more things not only music -

Welcome to a new WRZ post. As I promise, today I'll share some points of view, tips and useful stuff so you can easily discover the sound that is best for your band.

-Step by step

The main problem when trying to achieve your own sound is going ultra fast. Slow down and go step by step. First you must have kind of basic ideas of what you want, then you can start to build your own sound. Everything starts with your mind, then your fingers and rhythm, later the gear would tell if everything goes as planned.

First i strongly recommend to listen all the songs you really enjoy. Ideas may flow from certain parts and that is a start. Once you know what you want and how your sound is, you can start working on it. Playing with your band would be very useful so your own sound and the others find the perfect balance.
-Techniques and theory first

In order to create and develop something new, first, you must know the existing stuff. Basic theory, rhythm and all basic techniques are very helpful when trying something new. Learn and use all the stuff you find so you can develop a little of everything, then move onto the next step.

-Mastering existing stuff

This is the most boring part, practice to develop something without difficulties, believe me, in the end it would be easier.

Practice the songs you choose, listen. Go from slow to fast gradually. By doing that and without noticing it you'll be mastering different techniques that would improve your playing skills.

-Creating the sound

Once you know your weak points and once you cover the basics of general sound you are ready for the creation of your own sound. We must understand that there a 3 factors: Gear, technique and flavor.

The flavor is basically how you play.
Technique refers to the way you play and what are you doing.
Gear is the sound that your gear - with all the other factors - sound like.

Once you now where you want your sound to go, you can star using the necessary techniques to develop a full own sound. Adding some specific gear or EQ, effects or chains of effects your sound would be recognized.

Remember that your sound is not a copy, you can include certain elements of other players but remember to know and develop your strongest points. Adding flavor and effects to decorate your sound is important. remember your sound came from you not from the gear you play.

I hope this info helps with your sound and please any question you got, write it into the comments. See you later and keep rockin'
