Do these new "Molami" headphones look feminine to you? They've been specially designed to "enhance the feminine face". A first for the headphone industry. Funny, I thought the sound quality was the main point of headphones but I guess it's an added bonus if they suit your face at the same time and so many over-the-ear headphones out there look a bit alien like around your head. I guess these look a little more elegant, well finished and, well, lady like.

Industrial designer Maria Von Euler is the brainchild of these slick looking headphones. She's put thought (and her background in fashion and tailoring) into every element of the design from the tailored silhouette that's supposed to complement the bone structure of the face to the braided textile-wrapped cords and gold- and silver-plated details - details that only a woman would appreciate. She's actually designed a whole series of headphones but this particular model is known as The Pleat.

The headphone is encased in Napa leather and comes in black or white. It's supposedly uber comfy as it folds and rotates freely and the closed design ensures noise isolation. They sound more like a fashion accessory than a fully functional pair of headphones but apparently there is minimal distortion in the sound and you can "hear the music in its truest form", which at the end of the day is more important than aesthetics. "The bass sounds are deep and the highs are natural and clear."

They appear to suit this young lady pretty well but then we're not all blessed with such exquisite cheekbones as her. I also imagine we'll have to be blessed with a rather hefty stash of cash in the bank to invest in a pair.
