Introducing Chrome’s G+me for Google+ Stream

Streams in Google+ are the messages that users and their circles posts on their Homepage. Currently, the Google+ Stream displays all the messages, posts, and comments in one page that when they become congested, users need to scroll multiple pages to get to the next message. That fact unfriendly and annoyingly hassle, so, how do you solve it? Collapsing is the key.

Google+ life would be a lot simpler if the posts, messages and comments collapsed automatically. This is how G+me for Google Plus works; it is a free Google Chrome extension. It doesn’t affect the interface of the Google+ once it is downloaded. What users will notice after they download it is the gray bar at the top with two downward arrows. The bar is utilized to collapse a thread of messages, and will then show a single row in the interface.

The important part of the messages was still highlighted and showed on the row. Users will see the name of the person who published the message, timeline of the message, the first few entries and the number of comments it got. The number of read comments is displayed in a gray box and once comments arrive; the box turns red also showing the number of new comments. G+me does not only work on the messages; it also provides functionality to collapse comments only. Note that collapsing the messages and comments will automatically mark them read.

You can also find a list mode one interesting feature of G+me, users can easily switch to list mode. To switch- users just have to click on the extension’s button in the Chrome address bar. When the switch is done, all messages collapse but only one at a time. This turns your Google Plus into a dashboard with perfect visibility. It expands the messages you choose and collapses the old ones.

G+me can be downloaded from official Chrome Web Store. This is only available to Chrome use
