How to Make a Minecraft Hamachi-Bukkit Server [Mac]
Hello Earthlings xD This is my first post, in which I'll show you how to make an easy Hamachi server This is very simple. I hope it helps.
First, you need to download LogMeIn Hamachi, Google is your friend. Then when installed, click on Network, and then Create a New Network. Create it, and follow the next step.
Then, we need to open the Terminal, going to Spotlight, at the top right of the screen, then searching Terminal.
Then copy this:
cd ~/Desktop mkdir "Bukkit Server" cd ~/Desktop/Bukkit Server curl -O http://ci.bukkit.org/job/dev-CraftBukkit/promotion/latest/Recommended/artifact/target/craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar mv craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar CraftBukkit.jar echo "cd ~/Desktop/Bukkit Server java -Xincgc -Xmx[RAM]M -jar CraftBukkit.jar" >LaunchServer.command chmod +x LaunchServer.command echo "Open LaunchServer.command with TextEdit, and replace [RAM] with: 512 or 1024 or 1536 or 2560 or 3072 or 5120 That is the ram amount the server will have. 512=512MB; 1024=1GB; 1536=1.5GB; 2560=2.5GB; 3072=3GB; 5120=5GB It is good to update your server at least once per week." >README.txt open -a TextEdit LaunchServer.command
Textedit should open a document called "LaunchServer.command". Find [RAM] and replace it with the MegaBytes of RAM you want.
The server is now saved in your Desktop, but not ready to use. Launch LaunchServer.Command, then after 10 seconds, type "Stop".
Open the file server.properties in your Server folder with TextEdit, and in the IP, put your Hamachi IP.
Open LaunchServer.Command again, but let it load. When it's ready, open Minecraft, Multiplayer, and enter your Hamachi IP. Welcome to your server!
