Quickly Move Between Favorite Folders Using Folder Menu
Folder Menu is a folder switching application for Windows which lets you add your favorite folders and move between them without having to open Windows Explorer or My Computer. It allows you to jump between folders, open favorite folders, launch frequently used programs, visit favorite websites and search files by their extensions. It includes a Recent items list to quickly open recently used files and folders. You can also set custom icons for folders and manage their size.
The program runs in the system tray and can be activated by either clicking the middle mouse button or by using Windows + W hotkey combination. The menu features the Recent sub-menu at the top. The developer has included C drive, User Profile, Program files, Windows and System32 folders as default favorites. In the lower half you have sub-menus for accessing Files, Websites, Windows Registry and setting search filters.

There are two ways to add items to the Folder Menu list. The first one requires you to middle-click the folder that you want to add to Favorites. From the menu, hover mouse pointer over Folder Menu and then click Add Favorite.
Another way to add and edit your favorites is from Options dialog. Click Insert Item button to add file, website links, registry scripts, programs. etc., to Favorite list. You can also manually change the name and path to open the item of your choice.
When you right-click folder in Folder Menu, it will show all the underlying folders.
The Filter submenu comes useful to initiate file search by types. For instance, if you want to search images on your PC, from Filters submenu, select Images. It will automatically fill the search bar with all the known image extensions and initiate the image search. Likewise, you can search programs, text files, compressed files, etc.
With Folder Menu, you can quickly navigate between folders, open programs, and visit websites. The Recent items submenu, as well as, the option to choose custom folders makes it easier for you to minimize your time looking for a folder. It is a multi-lingual, open source tool that supports Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.
