Sony has officially unveiled the first details regarding its Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update plans for its smartphones line-up. The Japan-based company has updated the initial announcement today, adding more terminals to the list and unveiling the time frame where the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update is expected to roll out.As Sony mentioned since October, the first terminals that will be upgraded to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean are Sony Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V, smartphones that will receive the software update sometime in February or March 2013.

After the first wave of Xperia smartphones gets updated to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, models like Xperia J, Xperia P and Xperia go will be next in line, which will be receiving the firmware update in late March. As of April 2012, the Jelly Bean update program will continue with the users of the Xperia S, Xperia SL, Xperia ion and Xperia Acro S.
