Asus and Google have teamed up to release the new Google Tablet at Google's I/O event earlier today. Running Android and built for Google Play, the 7-inch tablet has a spectacular 1280 x 800 HD resolution. It packs a quad-core Tegra 3 processor, 12-core GPU, and 1GB RAM. There's also a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera and all the sensors you'd need in a decade's time, including NFC. And it all weighs less than 400 grams.
The Nexus 7 starts at $199 for 8GB with $25 credit for Play Store (limited time only) — a 16GB model is available for $249. You can pre-order starting today from play.google.com with the tablet shipping mid-July. The UK pricing is £159 and £199, respectively, and also shipping around the same time.
With a stunning 7" display, powerful quad-core processor and all day battery life, Nexus 7 was built to bring you the best of Google in a slim, portable package that fits perfectly in your hand.
