After reading @Choludo's post about the iPhone 4S 5.1.1 jailbreak I have to admit I was a bit curious and jailbroke my iPhone 4. I was hesistant updating from 5.1 but Absinthe proved to be as simple as he said.

Since then I've been non-stop downloading things on my new jailbroken iPhone with Cydia and I thought I would share the best Cydia Sources and Tweaks that I tried and kept.

Once you install Cydia make sure to let it download all the data it needs to for the first time. It will automatically install sources like BigBoss, Dev Team, and ModMyi but there are so many more that offer a world of tweaks.

I highly recommend the following sources:

SiNfuL iPhone Repo

Hackulo.us

As for what tweaks to download, I've only had mine for a day and I already have

Activator: I use this to be able to use gestures, like swiping from the bottom of my screen to pull up the multitask function or holding down my finger on the status bar to pull up the iPod Music Controls

AdBlocker: Just like you would imagine, blocks those annoying ads in most of my apps

AndroidLock XT: Gets rid of the annoying Slide to Unlock and then Password protection and replaces it with an Android Unlock Combination

AutoProtect: I haven't tried this one yet but it deactivates the passcode lock when you're on your home wifi. I considered adding my work wifi but with these pranksters around...I don't think so.

BiteSMS: this app is a must have. It makes messages so much better. I'm able to share contacts, respond with templates, and schedule text messages

Installous 4: This app let's you download FREE apps.

NoLockScreen: This is necessary for using AndroidLock XT

Switchy: This tweak takes the stock App Switcher to a whole new level. Double the rows and a bit more functionality.

If you enjoyed my tips please don't forget to follow me and comment. If you have any recommendations for me I'd love to hear about them as well.
